Keith R.A. DeCandido used to be the editor of the Marvel novels (which include two Iron Man novels, an Avengers novel, a Captain America novel, a Spider-Man/Iron Man team-up novel, and an X-Men/Avengers team-up trilogy).  The program has been through some legal silliness, which seems to have finally settled down, but Keith is no longer involved in the project. He still has an unofficial web page for the books, though, which lists all the books in the program, including Keith's specific recommendations: http://www.sff.net/people/FrantsDeCandido/marvel.htm.
